Santa Clara, CA – March 26, 2007 –ChipX, the Structured ASIC leader, today announced the appointment of Mr. Günther Blaek as Central European Sales Manager covering Germany, Central and Eastern Europe and Denmark.
“Building from a strong, established customer base, ChipX is perfectly suited to succeed in the European market”, commented Andrew Barber, Director European Sales. “Five to ten years ago when telecoms was the main European application, projects often began as standard cell ASICs. Now with smaller volume applications, initial prototypes are usually begun on FPGAs. As these projects develop and volumes increase, our Structured ASIC family offers a way to increase performance, reduce size and cut cost. If a product really takes off we can offer customers a migration path through our leading family of 0.13µ Embedded Arrays and up to full standard cell.”
Before joining ChipX, Mr. Blaek worked in the custom chip and EDA industries holding a variety of design and sales positions. Comments Andrew Barber: “We are delighted that Günther has joined to strengthen our European team. Our company has doubled in the last year, and we know our Central European customers can benefit from our broad product portfolio of ASIC solutions.”
Mr. Blaek is based just outside Munich, Germany.
